FAO: Captain, Secretary & Treasurer
Thank you to all who attended Club Committee Training last week. We hope you found the breakout sessions informative and gave you some ideas on how to lead and develop your club over the coming academic year.
For those who were unable to attend, we have uploaded Club Sport Guide’s to the resources section of the @strathsports website – www.strathsports.co.uk/resources. If you have any further questions regarding day-to-day sports club operations at UoS, please do not hesitate to contact the office team and we’ll be happy to help.
Club Management Portal – Important Update
During the summer, we have been working with a Web Developer to create and launch a bespoke Club Management Portal (CMP) that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of sports club administration systems for committee members.
Initially, the Captain, Secretary and Treasurer (CST) for each sports club will be given unique login details that will allow clubs to coordinate and submit Funding Requests, Vehicle Bookings & Award Nominations remotely. It is at discretion of the CST who login details should be shared with, however we advise only elected Club Committee members are allowed access – submissions from non-committee members will not be accepted.
As updated at last weeks’ committee training, we are using Freshers’ week as a testing platform for several clubs before rolling out across the whole sport roster. Clubs not taking part in the trial period please pop in to the office and staff will direct you to the relevant paper forms for Transport & Finance requests.
Lastly, over the next week or so, staff will email CST’s directly with login details for the CMP which can be accessed here: www.strathsports.co.uk/clubportal. Once shared, all club administration should be coordinated through the CMP.
As ever, we’re grateful for any constructive feedback on the CMP so far – drop Fraser a line on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Look forward to seeing you all at Sports Fair on Wednesday and best of luck recruiting new freshers’ into your club.
Yours in sport
