Strathclyde has long been recognised as one of the top destinations for student sport in Scotland and is established within the top 30 British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) rankings.

Our clubs offer regular coaching, training and competition, both locally and nationally. This includes regular inter university fixtures in British and Scottish Universities competitions each Wednesday, including the prestigious premier leagues.

What’s more, our clubs cater for all levels of ability. If you prefer a more relaxed approach to sport, then why not try some recreational sports? These clubs provide an array of informal activity, tournaments and fun events, and is the perfect way of getting together with new friends on your course or from halls.

We also offer a range of recreational drop-in sport sessions, including Touch Tennis and Tartan Touch Rugby.

Volunteering & Employability

We believe that student sport has a key role to play within the university and wider community. As was very evident at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, volunteers play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of sport and here at Strathclyde it is no different.

We also hope that when students leave us they are prepared to hit the ground running in terms of job offers and employment satisfaction.
